Bearing steel wire is an important steel, mainly used in the manufacture of bearings. The carbon content of bearing steel wire is usually about 1%, and the chromium content is about 1.5%. Among them, high-carbon chromium bearing steel GCr15 is the world's largest production of bearing steel, carbon content is about 1%, chromium content is about 1.5%, from 1901 to the birth of more than 100 years, the main composition has basically not changed, accounting for more than 80% of the world's total bearing steel production.
The physical properties of bearing steel are mainly based on the examination of microstructure, decarburization layer, non-metallic inclusions and low microstructure. Under normal circumstances are hot rolled annealing, cold annealing delivery. The status of delivery shall be indicated in the contract. The low-power structure of the steel must be free of shrinkage holes, subcutaneous bubbles, white spots and microscopic pores. Central porosity and general porosity shall not exceed 1.5 grades, and segregation shall not exceed 2 grades. The annealed structure of the steel should be uniformly distributed fine granular pearlite.
Bearing steel is divided into fully quenched bearing steel, carburized bearing steel, stainless bearing steel and high temperature bearing steel according to chemical composition, performance, processing technology and use. Fully quenched bearing steel is mainly high carbon chromium steel, such as GCr15, its carbon content is about 1%, chromium content is about 1.5%. In order to improve hardness, wear resistance and hardenability, appropriate to add some silicon, manganese, molybdenum, such as GCr15SiMn. This type of bearing steel production is the largest, accounting for more than 95% of all bearing steel production.
